On March 11th, 2023, we held our 4th annual GirlsWhoCode Summit. The theme was Adventures in Space, and participants learned to build and code Boe-bots and Cyber:bots with the help of high school mentors and adult industry professionals. They explored all the different functions– such as spinning, blinking lights, and playing music– to creatively solve problems and realize their own ideas. Some played songs; others made robots dance and spin. Through space-related games and other activities, participants were even able to learn more about space exploration. At the end of the day, we presented awards in the name of pioneering women in space to the teams that worked with the most passion, teamwork, and leadership. We hope that the Summit will be a stepping stone for these girls to grow their passion in STEM and inspire them to pursue their dreams. |

“Don’t let anyone rob you of your imagination, your creativity, or your curiosity. It’s your place in the world; it’s your life. Go on and do all you can with it, and make it the life you want to live.”
